In all matters Holy House defers to the teachings of the Magisterium. In regard to science, particular attention is paid to the Catechism of the Catholic Church paragraphs 279-327, 2292-2295, and 2415-2418. The ultimate curricular goal of the science class is to provide and expose the students to scientific principles and procedures as well as the ethics that should guide them.

At Holy House, carefully-chosen lessons from the new Berean Builders Science Series by Dr. Jay L. Wile will be utilised in the science class. Selected lessons from these texts will be studied in tandem with the main history text. During class, students will have the opportunity to complete the many excellent and interesting activities and experiments provided by the series.

For the 2023-2024 academic year, lessons will be taken from Science in the Industrial Age, and will focus on key scientific discoveries and developments of the modern period. Students will discover the contributions of Pasteur, Darwin, Mendel, Mendelev, and Curie, among others, and be introduced to the foundations of modern physics, chemistry, and biology.
