Every Month

Art History: Study one painting.

Music History: Study one selection of Classical Music for listening

Literature: Read one complete novel. (6-8 a year depending on length and difficulty).

Virtue: Study and memorise one every month.

Latin: A typical Latin chapter has about a dozen new vocab terms.

Every Two Weeks

English Composition: One Finished writing assignment. (much of this is done in class)

Art Workshop: One directed sketch.

Every Week (most weeks)

Memorise:

  • Holy Scripture: Two verses of scripture.

  • Poetry: Up to four lines of a poem.

  • Spelling list: The complete rules are studied and repeated every year.

  • A history date/fact.

Church History: Complete and review a few pages of a workbook per week. (mostly done in class)

Science: Complete and review a few pages of a lab book per week. (mostly done in class)

English Grammar & Composition:

  • Complete & review a few pages of a workbook per week. (mostly done in class)

  • Complete a vocabulary worksheet corresponding to the literature chapters being read.

Every day

Read one chapter of a book, 5 or 6 days a week.

Review and memorise Latin vocab flashcards.

Review and memorise English grammar term flashcards.

Math as taught and assigned by parents.

Optional

The school makes available but is not monitored by the school.
